After a whirlwind 24 hours in KL we head to the foody capital of Penang. We walked the streets and explored all the nooks and crannies of a city filled with British colonial era buildings. Mum was a trooper, covering approximately 10-15 kilometres on foot despite her feet puffing up like balloons.

|Hawker food. Pay by the colour of the skewer. I didnt realise you were meant to cook/heat up the sticks in the boiling water. The first skewer I grabbed were PiPi clams. They were raw and covered in blood. I thought it was a marinade.|
