Penang Pt 1

After a whirlwind 24 hours in KL we head to the foody capital of Penang. We walked the streets and explored all the nooks and crannies of a city filled with British colonial era buildings. Mum was a trooper, covering approximately 10-15 kilometres on foot despite her feet puffing up like balloons.

Kid watching over the plane seats at us. I think he liked my camera.
These fishing boats reminded me of my time in Timor (hell, they remind me of anywhere in South East Asia). Container aren't too Timor though.

This dude dished up our amazing Laksa.

Hawker food. Pay by the colour of the skewer. I didnt realise you were meant to cook/heat up the sticks in the boiling water. The first skewer I grabbed were PiPi clams. They were raw and covered in blood. I thought it was a marinade.
